There was a chill in the air as the hardy Riders of peloton 'A' left Pemberton for a lazy 150 km ride to Busselton. The current 'King of the Mountain' Rob Graham led the group onto the road this morning. The work in the saddle today will be followed by visits to both MacKillop Catholic College and Busselton Senior High School where around 400 students will take part in our Rider presentations.
Today saw us on the road in ideal conditions and travelling through really pretty countryside to Boyup Brook where we had our first stop at the Boyup Brook District High School.
The day saw mist and rain which did nothing to enthuse all of us to get up and going today - a fireplace and a glass of red would certainly have been a good option!
However by the time we had breakfast and left Alkoomi vineyards the weather was clearing and euphoria returned. Today is a pretty ride with undulating hills and lovely landscape.
