Over the next six months, under the guidance of Peter Trench and the coaching team, 180 riders will participate in training. The first eight weeks will be dedicated to phase one base training. This involves steady, moderate cycling to improve skills and train endurance, up to five days a week. Your body will learn to burn fat efficiently, saving carbohydrate fuel for more intense exercise.
Over the nine years as a rider and captain, David has raised much money in the only way he knows how – Ride week fines. He is often pulled up on the amount of times he drops his water bottle.
Andrew White is the second Hall of Fame inductee for 2017. “Whitey” has been part of the Ride for many years in various roles. He has participated as a rider, support crew and the esteemed committee chairman.
Andrew is a much loved member of the Ride family and we are thrilled to be giving the Hall of Fame recognition this evening.
