(The following should be read with thick Scottish accent).
Malcolm is a recovering engineer, Dad, husband, continuously-improving-cyclist (starting from a low-base!) and consultant.
Fortunately for him, he gets plenty of "helpful" advice from his grown-up "kids" Jenny (24) and Ben (22) who have both learned almost everything already at university. He also works with (many observers might say "for") his wife in their Leadership Consultancy business Corporate Evolution Pty Ltd.
This will be Malcolm's 7 and 1/9th consecutive ride (1/9th = 2015 he "only" did the CEO's ride from Mandurah on the last day. "It didn't feel like I'd ridden from Albany!").
Malcolm got involved in the ride in 2010 mainly as a fitness challenge with some mates. In fundraising and participating in the ride Malcolm has experienced many benefits:-
· Become much fitter. Tick
· Found a whole new bunch of mates. Tick.
· Proved that he's still thinks he's as competitive as he was at 16. Tick.
· Learned much more about the mental health challenges that are facing the next generation and what we can do to help. Tick
· Found a worthy charitable cause that he wants to support. Tick.
Malcolm believes the work of Youth Focus is vitally important for our next generations.
